It`s necessary to use fertilizers to have high yield in agricultural production. However, due to the differences in amounts, types and application times of fertilizers and lack of knowledge in the sector, animal health and environment are effected negatively. As a result of in proper fertilization some problems such as salinization of soil, accumulation of heavy metals, imbalanced nutrients, negative charges in microbial activity, eutrophication in waters and nitrate accumulation, emission of gaseous nitrogen and sulphur compounds to air and greenhouse effect etc. occur. In These rewiew aims to reveal environmental and health problems cauesd by improper fertilization and to provide recommendations toward solving these problems.
