Salinity, which is one of abiyotic stress factors, result in decrease of yield and quality. Effect of salinity shows difference in plant growth period, plant species and plant varieties. Therefore, it is important that the reaction of salinity is determined in seedling stage.

This research was carried out in the climatic greenhouse of Batı Akdeniz Agricultural Research Institute, Antalya, in 2007. Total 11 genotypes ,8 genotypes consisting of wild and domestical types, 2 tolerant (Chang chun mici and Nerosimy 40) and 1 susceptible(Jinchun) lines were used in the experiment. The dose of 200 mM= 20,50 dS/m NaCl was applied to cucumber seedlings to determine reaction of genotypes.

According to observed symphtoms of the cucumber seedlings, PI 308915 343 and PI 308916 343 genotypes from Russia were determined tolerant genotype but PI 179676 (Kakri) genotype from India were susceptible genotype determined in seedling stage.
