This research was carried out in 5 different rangeland slopes (2%, 8%, 15%, 25%, 30%) in Çakmar district of
Aydın province. In the study, 7 quadrats from each slope were sampled. The results were summarized in terms of
herbage-hay yield (kg da-1), ADF (%), ADL (%), NDF (%), Crude Protein Ratio (%), Crude Protein Yield (kg da-1),
Relative Feed Value and botanical compositions. According to the results, hay yield was found between 223.03 -
114.54 kg da-1 while the highest value was found at 8% slope. The highest NDF ratio was measured at 30% slope
fraction and the lowest NDF fraction was measured at 2% slope fraction. The highest proportion of crude protein
was observed at 10.64% slope at 8%, while the highest relative feed value was measured at 101.35 at 2% slope.
It was observed that botanical composition has fewer species of legumes. It is seen that sections with 2%, 8%
and 15% slope are better in terms of yield-quality than the others. In these areas under overgrazing, the
contribution of animal production is reduced with improper management. For this reason, correct management
and rangeland improvement projects will be able to find solutions for the region rangelands.
